ideaPARK Ventures Inc.
In 1999, Lawton co-founded Vancouver-based Internet incubator ideaPARK Ventures Inc. As partner and EVP, she managed funds of approximately $60 million and provided promising companies with financing, support and management expertise, including investments in Savage Software and Antarctica Systems, a provider of revolutionary information visualization technology.
In 2000, Lawton fostered the successful sale of the company to itemus Inc., a publicly traded internet company run by Goldcorp executive Ian Telfer that had a market capitalization of over $840 million at its peak.
