We invite you to explore, challenge, imagine and participate, in whatever way you are able, towards breaking new ground and helping us to inspire a shift in the collective mindset.

AMY REID

Amy Reid
Managing Director

Amy joined Mindset in 2007 after over a decade of experience within the design and event industry, contributing to such flagship charity events as Jacqui Cohen’s annual Face the World Foundation Gala and Arts Umbrella’s Splash.

The majority of her academic training was from Concordia University where she was awarded as the top graduate in the Industrial Design Arts Program. It was here that she was first introduced to the sphere of socially engaged practice through the planning of the international design symposium: “DECLARATIONS of [inter]dependence and the im[media]cy of design”. After a break for world travels and personal reflection, she returned to Vancouver and eventually found herself in the role of Curator and Director of Operations and Events for sugarandsugar. It was there that she fine-tuned her private and corporate event planning and production skills, and was re-introduced to the socially conscious business platform through the production of the very successful “Colour of Life” series of monthly fundraising events.

Inspired by honesty and the organics of creation, relationships and the process of “doing”, she hopes to raise the public’s awareness of our global environment and facilitate change.

“Everyone has the power to make a difference. They just may not see or know how. It’s up to people like us to give them a little nudge and show them what’s possible when they open up to their potential and realize just how easy it can be.”
